The cover of the audiobook “Oddech śmierci”

I designed the cover of the crime novel “Oddech śmierci” (“Breath of Death”) written by Joanna Bagrij.

In order to emphasize the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the crime novel, I used dark colors and distorted typography. Ink stains and red color allude to descriptions of brutal murders.

Using double exposure (overlaying two photos of the same person) I showed the theme of split personality (Clare and Olivia are one and the same person).

Title of the novel was photographed through glass, due to which it is distorted. The whole thing has an analog vibe thanks to grain and fuzziness of the typography.
